Weekly Life update #1

Weekly Life update #1

Hi, Guys! I know it’s been forever since I’ve truly written something here. So many things have happened to me lately that pushed me to take a  break from blogging. I took more than a month break from here and I still owe you so many stories from my trip to Asia. Do not worry as they are coming your way next week.

Let me tell you the reasons:

First off I wasn’t happy with the way I was editing my photos and shooting style. I know for some you’d be surprised. I have been contemplating to find my flow that I could call my own, This took me a month of trying out different presets and style of shooting. My friend Therese knows about how frustrated I was. I wanted to be unique and show the best of me to you guys. I am glad to say I have finally found my own style and my confidence back on track. I also wanted to find aspects of blogging I wanna focus more on, hence Fashion and Travel. I also wanna curate photos different from the others.

Second : for some reason, I got so busy working more on my Instagram – collaborating with brands, so lately some of you noticed I have been doing a lot of #sponsored posts. I don’t want you to think I’m all about the money. I needed the money from all those work to save up for everything about my blog, my expense to shoot, my upcoming trips, clothes, new laptop for faster editing, new lens and lastly a new camera. I needed it to fund my vision for the blog and for wanting to evolve. Please don’t ever think I sold out. I only aligned myself to brands I truly believe in and already used on a daily basis. I recently worked with American Express as an Ambassador for the newly launched card “COBALT” where I was fortunate to met and be fed by Gordon Ramsay. I also worked with Canadian Tire for their premier paint line which was perfect for my new closet which I was planning on painting anyway. I also worked with Best Buy to showcase back to school upgrade which also aligns as I’m still a student, and other more brands that I aspire and been a consumer.

I also invested in a Vlogging camera to start my youtube channel this coming October. I wanted the Vlog to be something more real and approachable. My mission on the vlog is to take you to the events that us bloggers gets invited to. I also wanna showcase more of my experience being “The New Girl” in Canada, so I’ll be talking more about me being Filipino/American raised in the Philippines now living in North America.

Third Reason: Honestly, I lacked inspiration writing, with so many thing’s going on with the blogging/Influencer Industry. I just needed time for myself. I also moved to a new house and have been putting all my energy decorating and settling in. The amount of events I go to also doubled every week, so I’m still adjusting in terms of my energy. I have also been investing time to get myself out there and meet people and connection.

What to expect now with The New Girl?

Weekly Life Update: I’m going to write a weekly update like this of what’s going on with me and share exciting news as we improve the blog. I will showcase one blog post with photos mostly highlighting from my Instagram or event’s I attend.

Vlogging : Once I figured out how to edit the videos, I’ll be publishing 2 – 3 videos a week, here on the blog and on my Youtube Channel.

Travel Blogs/ Travel Guides : I’ll be blogging more about travel, advice and review of hotels/places I am visiting. Also doing mini travel guides for small cities in Canada.

Fashion Blogs: I’ll be doing more of outfit Inspiration weekly on the blog

Wow! Gordon Ramsay!!! What an honor! I know exactly how you feel .. I sometimes lack the motivation and creative drive to maintain my vision, but it always comes back. That’s the beauty on having a passion like ours. Your page is beautiful and I hope you continue to work towards your dreams. ???

I really admire your honesty. Lacking in authenticity is a crucial point for anyone who wants to be true to him/herself and others. I love your pictures ‘ style, keep it up

You have definitely been missed on here! One thing I’m most jealous about is the fact you got to hang out with Gordon Ramsay. I am a huge fan of him and all of his shows and he’s also isn’t hard on the eyes either haha. No worries on posting a lot of sponsored content. You can definitely tell those who sold out and that’s definitely not you! Keep doing you 🙂
