#UpgradeYourself – Back to School with Best Buy

#UpgradeYourself – Back to School with Best Buy

I can’t believe it’s already Fall and back to school is now here. I have been crazy busy lately with the big move to the new house, I blinked and summer is gone. Tho I can’t complain about the amazing weather we are experiencing right now, better late than never.

Most of you know I’m still in school. I’m currently taking up Fashion Buying. This school year I decided to continue the course online, my schedule has been pretty busy with the blog and travelling. I think this is the best way for me to still learn while working full-time on the blog. I’m also launching the Vlog soon and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I’ve partnered up with Best Buy Canada who commissioned this post to bring you a few options to upgrade yourself this school year. Who said only students need upgrading? I have been curious about the newest Google home and HP Sprocket given my love of photography so Best Buy gave me these items to try them out and give you the full review of what I think of them, they also sent me the Monster 6-Outlet Surge Protector to protect my gadgets and appliances during a power outage or voltage spike, while two USB ports protect my mobile devices as they’re charging. With EMI/RFI filtration, this surge protector can facilitate better picture and sound from the electronics.

Okay First Topic, Google Home. I love everything about her! Not only did I gain an assistant making sure I have all my events in place, she also plays my favourite songs in Spotify. You also get to use google play for 90 days free. I can also ask Google Home whatever I could possibly think of (well not everything but mostly everything). She does the math, timer, recipe hunting and answers even gossips about celebrities! She also does the calls for you using your Google contacts and anyone registered on google business. She called my taxi today while reminding me about my event. One time while having dinner I asked Google Home what’s the movie about and she told me about it and when asked about the actor she mentioned something about his dating life. I laughed so hard and told her “Hey Google, Good Job!” and she actually answered back and said, “Yup, I nailed it”.  you can also ask her to throw jokes occasionally when bored. I felt like I gain a companion and an assistant who’s very smart in one.

Going to HP Sprocket, I liked that it’s very compact and tiny. I could easily print off photos from my phone thru its app. I can also design it and edit the photos. I think it’s ideal if you’re in University. I remember my wall in my dorm, I had to use masking tape to put the printed photos from my polaroid on the wall, photos of the parties with my friends and some major events during my time in the Uni. With the HP Sprocket, I don’t need masking tape anymore as it comes as a sticker. It’s very useful when also doing a collage.

Dancing happily with my favourite song with my google home.

Google Home thinking hard at work.

Printed my favourite moments from my Instagram using my HP Sprocket

I’m so happy with the life upgrades I did for myself. Surely it’s always good to update yourself from then and now. How about you? What’s your recent life upgrade you did for yourself?

The HP Sprocket is something I’ve been looking at and fascinated by. Recently, I came back from Ireland and took so many beautiful photographs that need to be printed, I feel like this tiny clever device makes printing photos so much easier, amazing! That is my recent life upgrade, traveling to somewhere magical! Love all your ideas and you have such a talent at making a space look so beautiful.
