Puerto Vallarta City Tour

Puerto Vallarta City Tour

The next day we woke up pretty early, to watch another magical sunrise. I feel like every day the sky has a different colour just like this morning. We were to be picked up by our tour bus at 8:30 am for our City Tour. This was the first time I’ve experienced doing the group tours. I don’t really recommend this kind of tours as you don’t get much time exploring and you always have to follow your tour guide. This Puerto Vallarta trip would be the last time I’m doing group tours. (lol)

We visited a few churches around the city proper, Playa de Los Muertos, Tequila tour where we learned how to differentiate real organic tequila to a processed tequila and of course we tried all the different flavours of tequila (YES!) and finished our tour by going to a restaurant beside a beautiful river where you can hear the flow of the water while having your favorite guacamole.

Our first stop was the San Miguel Archangel Church.

I’m so glad I brought this dress from SheIn with me. It’s a cotton playsuit and perfect for the weather and it’s only under $10!

Then we visited Playa de Los Muertos where you can have a quiet time by the sea and a good place to absorb the culture of Puerto Vallarta.

Playsuit: SheInShoes: Tory Burch

Bag: H&M

I took this time to close my eyes and absorb my surroundings. Puerto Vallarta is so Beautiful.

We watch the boats, go back and forth. Kids playing and It seems like wherever I go the Mexican music is in the background.

Afterwards, we headed to one of the most famous Icon in town.

Along the way we met a few locals performing on the street.

Showcasing Mexican History.

And Finally, the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, known locally as La Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, is a church building in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. The church has been called “one of the most endearing” of the city’s landmarks.

Beside the church, you’ll find locally made leather shoes for 450 pesos ($35). A girl like me couldn’t resist buying one.

Also we had some taste of local Mexican Candy.

We were given the time to walk around the streets to see more of the town proper. If I were given more time I would have climbed up and take photos of the church facing the water.

We actually got some Margarita’s on the street and we took the taxi to meet the group in the tequila tour.

Such a perfect Mexican photo while waiting for my taxi.

After 10 minute taxi ride we have arrived.

This is agave where they actually make tequila from. I totally had no idea how it looked so I was pleased when we were taught about the process of making a tequila.

We were also given shots of few of the most organic and pure tequila they have. I didn’t know they actually come sin different flavours. My favourites will be the Almond, Piña colada and lastly the reposado one.

After 8 shots of tequila everyone started to get hungry so our tour guide brought us to a restaurant beside a river with the most relaxing sound of nature.

This part of the tour was my favorite! Guacamole, chips and Beer in hand. Okay I stopped complaining from there. hahaha

Fresh caught fish with buttered rice. Okay do I need to say more?

After lunch, we walked more…

Until i met a few local rascals having their siesta time.

And this little guy wouldn’t leave me alone. I think he wanted to come with me to play.

He’s the cutest and surprisingly nice dog.

We arrived back at our hotel around 5:00 pm just enough time to enjoy the beach some more before getting ready for Christmas Eve Dinner.

We headed straight to the bar with our swimsuit and tried the newly Purchased GoPro Hero 5.

I think the only photo that turned out okay in GoPro. I dont know how I feel about it but I’m thinking of reselling it, to buy a drone. Tho I must say the 4k video is amazing but not for photography.

After sunset, we arrived at the  Restaurant inside our new Hotel. It was a Mediterranean and Mexican Fusion. We were seated beside the pool.

And it look so magical.

It’s beautiful at night during winter months in Mexico, The air is crisp and cold.  It’s not sticky at all on the skin.

Caprese Salad

Grilled Octopus

Parmessan Onion Soup

Shrimp Risotto

White wine and starter bread which I could finish 10 of them! It was so good, super soft and chewy with some cream cheese inside. (Who wouldn’t go crazy with that?)

P.S: Currently typing this and getting super hungry reflecting about this trip – And I’m on the start of my new year’s resolution! (eating clean and working out)

Beef steaks – Mexican style (meat is super soft that it melts in your mouth!)

It was also my 3rd year Anniversary being with the greatest Man I’ve ever met.

After Dinner, We watched the entertainment in our new Hotel, I was surprised to see a seagull performing. I have never seen one before!

After the show we went to bed right away as we have another early day tomorrow for Christmas to explore the magical town of  Yelapa-Jalisco, Mexico.

Looks like a pretty fun trip! Hearing the word “organic” always tricks me into thinking the tequila is healthy, even though the stuff I usually mix it with isn’t haha. Let’s just pretend it is though 🙂

So many pictures! Mexico looks really amazing, looking at them! I’m not really fond of group tours either, because like you said: you can’t really explore things yourself and you have to stick with the group. Nonetheless, I REALLY need a vacation now. Or well.. I want one 😉 XO Charissa | http://www.ladygoldapple.com
