El Nido – Palawan, Philippines

El Nido – Palawan, Philippines

From Coron Palawan, we took the fast ferry Named Montenegro, It took us about 4 hours ride only than if you would book from a regular boat. I had a seasick from editing photos on my laptop! So I don’t suggest doing this. I was so sick for the whole 4 hours but upon arriving at the port, right away we saw the beautiful sceneries, unlike Coron,  in El Nido shows the gorgeous views right away of its natural beauty everywhere you look.

We stayed at a villa/hotel called Cadlao beach Resort. It has a view of the lush garden or the South China Sea and El Nido’s bay. It was beautifully situated facing the Cadlao lagoon too. A view so hard to miss and set the perfect backdrop for photos. I honestly liked El Nido’s Nightlife more and options for dinner has so much more modern and comparable to Bali. The prices here are way more pricey compared to Coron. We went to Happiness Beach bar which we instantly fell in love with the vibe and the ambiance around it. I got to meet a few of the owners who are from Israel. I see more of foreign business owners here as well.

We actually didn’t have enough time to do the tours here. There are so many – from A- D. We had to actually book another private boat, this time it was 3x the price of what we had to pay from Coron. We were only able to do it on the day of our flight which was actually only half a day. We departed at 8 am and only went to 4 places in the Tour A. I think you need at least good 8 days to explore everything, 10 days to actually really, enjoy the Islands. The Islands we saw are Small Lagoon, Big Lagoon, Secret Lagoon, Shimizu Island and 7 Commando.

I honestly love all the places we visited. The thing that I can’t forget is when we were going to the small and big lagoon, the waves were very strong and wild, they were really big that I almost thought it was a tsunami. Our boat almost broke in half. Therese and I were so terrified. but after 5 minutes it started calming down and we saw the small lagoon right away. We had to rent kayak here to explore the area, both Big lagoon and the small lagoon has to be explored with a kayak which makes it expensive because you’ll have to pay double. So I highly suggest renting one kayak already before leaving the main port and bring it with you. 7 commandos have a really fun swing that you can use. I had the most fun here swinging so high I can’t even stop laughing. the white sand beach perfect for tanning. The water is so clear too!

Unfortunately, our time was up and we had to leave for our flight back to Manila. From Manila, we flew to Hongkong before Bali.
