24 hours in Kelowna, British Columbia

So Before I give you the scoop on my Tulum guide, here is my 24 hours trip to Vernon, British Columbia with Buick to preview the launching of Avenir and Enclave. I also did a promotional video for them which is exciting and I can’t wait for it to go out. Straight from Mexico to BC, It was a long trip, I took 3 flights and an hour drive from Kelowna Airport before we reached our destination in Sparkling Hill sitting on the edge of the beautiful Lake Okanagan.

Upon arrival, we were escorted to the lunch room facing one of the most beautiful lake I’ve seen. We had to rush our lunch as we had a lot of activities to do. My first activity was snow shoeing while some were sent to the spa. I actually prefer for the spa to be on the next day, as I think it’s the perfect way to end this trip. I was really tired from the Mexico escapade and a spa time is much needed, Sparkling hill is actually pretty known about their amazing 5 star spa services. The Buick team took me and 2 other girls for snowshoeing in Sovereign Lake which was about 45 minutes drive from our hotel. It was actually quite gloomy on the way, but when we reached the top of the mountain, rays of sunshine started appearing with a promise of beautiful sunset waiting for us to the location. The scenery on the way was unreal. It was like we were floating in clouds. We were in the same height as them. Upon arrival, I shot a scene with the Buick Team for their promotional video. After that we started our 45 minutes trek with our Guide Howard who’s not only the most fascinating person but also for his age, he’s quite fit and can beat me on skiiing any day. I really quite enjoy the snowshoeing despite the cold. The world is truly beautiful, just a few hours ago I was looking at the white Sand beach in Tulum and at that moment in the most powdery snow I’ve ever seen. It’s my first time in BC and it’s been an amazing experience so far.

After snowshoeing, we headed back to the hotel , along the way we were able to try driving the car. I’m really In love with some of the cool feature Enclave has in store. First of all, my job requires a lot of time being online and Buick has a built in wifi faster than your regular internet on your phone. It could also be used across Canada to the US. Second feature, I love is that the car is big enough to carry my clothes and gears. It’s also very spacious and drives smooth making every journey comfortable. It also has an option for the rear view mirror to be put in camera mode which is perfect for night time driving. It also has sensors /360 camera to alert you when a car is on your blind side. Plus the wheel also shakes when it’s alerting you if you’re getting out of your lane. Isn’t that makes driving easy?

After snowshoeing, we headed back to the Resort for the presentation and the reveal of Avenir (one of their most luxuries car). Followed by a dinner and some hot chocolate by the fireplace outside. Me, Victoria of lustlist and Sina of Happy Grey lucky shot another scene for the video by the bonfire. From there we went to bed early as we still have another full activity the next day before we head back to Toronto.

The next day, some people went for a hike, some went for the cooking class in the Okanagan Valley winery. I was the only one in the group who has an appointment for the spa. I truly enjoyed my time alone and the sparkling facial and massage I had – just what my body and skin needed.

After the spa, I was accompanied to the lunch venue, which I was totally late for. Spa took longer than the expected time, luckily they saved me my seat and my lunch, we also had an opportunity to make our own creme brûlée and wine tasting and tour of their property, which is why my love for Riesling was born.

After lunch, unfortunately we had to go to the airport already . Our 24 hours in BC has come to an end. Lucky for me I saw a deer up close crossing the road. Ha! I haven’t seen that since moving to Canada.

Our view on our way to snowshoeing.

All the Buick Enclave parked right by the entrance of Sparkling hill resort.

The stunning view in Sovereign nordic club.

Finished just in time for the pink sunset views.

Our view on the way back to the resort. I wasn’t kidding when I said were like floating in the sky.

Probably the best view in the house – our in suite bath tub.

And the balcony from our room.

Bon fire and hot chocolate with the group.

Early mornings by the heated pool outside. I swear I could have stayed here forever.

I actually only experienced my first snow time when I went to Utah last month, where I tried skiing for the very first time. I am very interested in learning how to snowshoe! Looks like I need to go to B.C. asap. Those views there are insane!

Gosh I’ve just read your post about Tulum and you have taken me to a parallel universe now! This place is amazing! I’m not a fan of cold climates, but when you can stay in a hotel like that, with a heated pool in the open air and all the amenities, well that is another story. Which you told brilliantly as always! Love, Valeria
