Toronto still has moments that feels like winter. So what to do when it’s cold and depressing? Grab your girlfriends for a Power Lunch with some Prosecco.
Doctors order… A bubbly drink (or two) a day keeps you out of the misery of the coldness.
Also a perfect place for this? Bar Reyna in Yorkville, just a few distance from my home which serves Mediterranean food with a side of cosiness. No need to drive as I wouldn’t want the girlfriends to drink and drive!
Make sure to grab the biggest and warmest scarf you still left behind in your closet for unpredictable weather like this.
No need to reserve a table. Just come in at exactly 12 pm and your group will surely be seated. Make sure to pick the spot on the back patio as it’s the best place in the restaurant.
It has beautiful lights that hang above and the place is filled with lanterns. Every angle is Instagrammable. Truly a Mediterranean Secret Garden vibes.
Of course, since the weather was gloomy we wore black… lol totally unplanned
Also a place to see your Majesty drinking and smoking (most likely edited! but entertaining)
We also pretty much ordered everything on the menu.
And a round of Prosecco… (I eventually lost count)
See what I mean? Doctors order!
Our food arrives after a round of bubbly, gossip and waves of laughter.
Mushrooms on Toast
Pan Con Tomate
Halloumi & Brussels Sprouts
Reyna’s Fries – Spanish, with shaved manchego, chorizo and chipotle aioli
And my ultimate favourite in the Restaurant Reyna’s Fries – Italian, with shaved Grana Padano and truffle aioli
After the scrumptious lunch and bids farewell to one another, everything was okay again and we totally forgot about the cold weather in Spring. With hearts full of happiness, tummy full of delicious food and warm cheeks from laughing, I was ready to conquer the day!
