As I mentioned in my previous post, we recently moved to a new house by the lake. It a gorgeous neighbourhood and the most exciting part of the big move is the space. I had a walk-in closet/office before in the Yorkville apartment but at the new house, it’s bigger. I was given an opportunity to paint it the way I wanted it to be. I’ve been planning on painting the closet Pink with a touch of gold and white as an accent. Luckily, Canadian Tire reached out to sponsor this project. Immediately, I knew right away which colour to choose. I was also able to buy the Premier Paint Infinity half the price from the ongoing sale at that time. I chose the colour “Pink Champagne“. I chose this because It was one shade lighter from the original pink colour I liked and since my closet does not get much light, it makes sense to colour it with something lighter.
To be honest, I’ve never painted in my entire life ever. I was surprised to find it very easy with Premier Paint Infinity, I didn’t need to do a primer anymore. It only took 2 coats for the wall to be fully covered. I’m proud to say I did it all myself, of course with the right tools and some youtube videos before starting. I also made sure the walls were clean and the floor covered with plastic protectors. I also used painter’s tape to avoid lines. I also spray painted the 2 gold mirror and the chandelier all purchased from Canadian Tire as well.
It took me the whole day to finish the project. It dried really fast and the washable capabilities of the paint are very impressive. The smell also does not bother me at all nor did not make the house smells. I truly recommend Premier Paint, they also have amazing options with colours.
As for the closet reveal, this is only the first one as unfortunately not all the furniture, carpet and other stuff I ordered has arrived yet. I just really want to focus on how the paint transformed my closet and the vision I had. I think without the colour, It wouldn’t be as inspiring as I would like it to be. Here are some of the highlights of my closet.
The wall made for Instagram
A pink nook to read the books I haven’t started yet. I’m hoping that moving out of downtown will give me more time to read amazing books.
As you can see it’s not fully complete yet.. I can’t wait to show you the final details.
How stunning is the colour pink against the white and gold accent?
And the cute mug, perfect for morning hustle in this gorgeous space.
I can’t believe my dream closet is finally coming true. I can’t thank enough Canadian TIre for making it possible. I still have to fill it in with more shoes and bag and yes I can’t wait to show you the final look sometime next month.
