In every city you have your own piece of China. Toronto has a big one and I have never been.
So Serena and I decided to go for a little tour as a tourist and have some dimsum at a popular place for late night eating and most likely when you were out at night drinking this is the place to be at. Best known for their dimsum.
323 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON M5T 2E9
As soon as we arrived, The ambience is different, If I close my eyes and just listen and smell the air, It feels like I was in Hong Kong. Which makes me excited because I miss Asia so much.
I also picked up this really nice dress from Shein an online company based in China. They usually take about a week-3 weeks for delivery, but my order only took a week. The dresses they sell are very affordable and beautiful. Im looking forward on ordering for more.
The restaurant is always packed but nothing to worry you’ll get your table right away.
I pretty much ordered everything on the menu. oopss
My favourite custard bun! Really good for dessert. But I tend to eat dessert first before all the other food. Yes Im weird like that. haha
Of Course the deep fried chicken wings
My favourite Hargow or simply called shrimp dumpling.
Beef shortribs which all of the dimsum served really hot fresh out of the steamer!
Orange chicken which Serena Ordered. I pretty much ordered most of the dimsum.
Except for this vegetable dimsum.
I think we ate too much, we kept on laughing feeling high with all those sodium. Come on who doesnt want a good chinese food? If I can only eat it everyday, I will.
And for the star of the night the fortune cookie! I like what mine says!
Afterwards we decided to walk around chinatown to burn some calories from our big dinner.
We saw some pretty interesting knick knacks.
like these hats from Vietnam.
These a $1 china fan.
and this nugget who just ate so much food. And yes that’s my guilty face.
some fruits sometimes cheaper than your local groceries.
some peking ducks. Sorry vegans for this photo, It won’t be chinatown without this hanging outside a restaurant.
Some ladies working in a restaurant making fresh beef rolls to be deep fry.
and some really cute cellphone cases!
was thinking of changing my Lumee case, but didn’t find anything that interest me. maybe on my next visit.
I also found my favourite Jackfruit which I used to eat a lot back in the Philippines. They’re heavy and almost a size of a baby.
Before we went home you can’t go home without buying some chewy eewy goey chinese bread.
They only cost a dollar or &2 for a whole bun. My beau loves them so much.
Chinatown was so much more prettier at night with all the colourful lights.
How about you whats your favorite part of your local chinatown?
Thank you Shein for this collaboration.
